MenuTap
MenuTap is an NFC restaurant table hub giving customers one tap access to a menu, Wi-Fi, Google reviews, games and social links.
Role & attribution
Hikari Brandan designed and built the physical-to-digital product and restaurant web experience, reusing restaurant functionality from FoodSpot and testing the customer-facing flow.
Problem
Menus, Wi-Fi, reviews and social actions are often scattered across signs and conversations. A restaurant table could offer a simpler entry point.
What I built
MenuTap connects an NFC object to a branded restaurant experience: menu, Wi-Fi, Google reviews, games and socials in one place.
Key decision
Reuse the restaurant functionality and product knowledge from FoodSpot, then simplify how people access it. The physical object makes the first action understandable.
What I learned
Earlier experiments become more valuable when their useful parts are repackaged behind a simpler interaction. One tap can do more than open a camera.
What survived
Menus, games and restaurant UX from FoodSpot; the physical NFC entry from Tap & Snap. The tiny snack game here is an interactive portfolio demo; the linked menu is the live product.
